Dorothy
Currently Dorothy is SVP of Citi Private Bank’s Philanthropic Advisory Team where she provides philanthropic advice to a broad array of HNW and UHNW clients at various stages in the lifecycle of their philanthropy. Prior to this, Dorothy spent 9 years with Citigroup's corporate foundation where she spearheaded global CSR and Citizenship initiatives that laddered up to Citigroup’s $1 Billion Action for Racial Equity and DEI commitments, and led a team that partnered with 150+ nonprofits to advance economic opportunity for low-income communities across 85+ markets.
As a former diplomat, Dorothy represented the U.S. in negotiations for free trade, finance, food aid and nuclear nonproliferation, and was tapped by the U.S. government to travel to and work in North Korea to oversee the largest humanitarian aid effort in North Korea's history.
Dorothy is a 2022 Women in Power Fellow. She was an Institute for International Education's (IIE) National Security Education Program (NSEP) Fellow (2002), a Korean Language Flagship Fellow (2003-2005) and Council on Foreign Relations Term Member (2008-2013). Dorothy holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University, a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and speaks Korean and German.
