- December Communitas Ventures Cohort 11's pitch competition is held at CUNY Advanced Science and Research Center in Harlem.
- November Justworks.org has confirmed its multi-year support to create an impact in the local entrepreneurship ecosystem together for another year.
- September Cohort 11 started with 20 promising entrepreneurs from hyperlocal communities in NYC!
- July Heyground Innovation Space Exchange Program 3 starts!
- June Communitas Ventures Cohort 10 Demo Day was held at the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise at Columbia Business School. Out of the 22 entrepreneurs who submitted their four-minute pitches, 12 pitched, 4 participated in panel discussions, and 3 vendors made presentations at the booth.
- May Siegel Family Endowment has decided to support Communitas America in full alignment with its mission to promote hyperlocal entrepreneurs.
- March Communitas Ventures Cohort 10 started!

- December Communitas Ventures Cohort 9's pitch competition was held at the CUNY Advanced Science and Research Center in Harlem. The 25 ventures, out of total 29, submitted the four-minute pitches/impact model, which was evaluated by three external judges: local entrepreneur in food, CBS professor and impact investor.
- October Chosen as Inaugural Justworks.org Grantees who are working non-stop to level the entrepreneurial playing field for early-stage minority- and women-owned businesses. Attended New York State Innovation Summit (Buffalo, NY)
- September Communitas Ventures 9th cohort started with 30 entrepreneurs.
- June Cohort 8's pitch competition was held at CUNY's Advanced Science Research Center, offered a hybrid attendance option.
- March Communitas Ventures 8th cohort started with 21 entrepreneurs.
- January Through the Empire State Development, Communitas America has been awarded for the next 5 years the New York State Business Incubator and will be joining the network of Innovation Hot Spots and New York State Certified Business Incubators.
- 2021
- December Communitas America had a pitch night with Cohort 7 and the entire Communitas Ventures alumni. Communitas Ventures surpassed over 100 alumni with seven completed cohorts since 2018.
- September Communitas Ventures 7th cohort started with 20 promising local changemakers.
- June Communitas America prepares to launch a community-led data program, CASA to increase data accessibility and provide evidence-based insight for entrepreneurs/alumni.
- April Communitas Ventures 6th cohort started with 20 promising local changemakers.

- July Communitas America started Women Founder’s Program for women entrepreneurs who have been lacking access to opportunities. (Communitas Ventures Cohort 5)
- May Communitas America closed D-well Las Vegas and continued developing impact programs in NYC.
- January Communitas America transitioned Communitas Ventures Accelerator Program Cohort 4 to 100% virtual during COVID-19.

- October Communitas America ran Communitas Ventures Accelerator Program Cohort 3.
- June Communitas America ran the second Impact Career Program for youth changemakers who’re pursuing future careers in social impact ecosystem.
- April Communitas America ran Communitas Ventures Accelerator Program Cohort 2.
- 2018
- October Communitas America launched Communitas Ventures Accelerator Program for local changemakers who are addressing social issues with their own entrepreneurial solutions.
- June Communitas America started Impact Career Program for youth changemakers who’re pursuing future careers in social impact ecosystem.
- February Communitas America incorporated as a nonprofit 501c3 and started implementing impact programs in New York City.
- 2017
- May Communitas America started D-well Las Vegas, a co-living community for changemakers.
- May Communitas America founded through a fiscal sponsorship with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA).
- January Sister organization, Root Impact started fundraising from global foundations including Fondation Chanel, JPMorgan Chase and Citi Foundation.
